My goodness, this is a frustrating process.
Twinge, pull, numb, sore, throb, ache, stab...
I've had a run of good days, but inevitably a downer has to come along.
Having said that, i've had the longest spell out of bed today - 5 hours - and have spent the evening at home with Claudia and friends Sabine and Tim, over from Australia on their world travels.

Goodnight Pete and Claudia and all the Family. We are still so sorry that you could not make it to our wedding. You are so special to us. By the way, Liz G. did a wonderful training run this evening for that Half Marathon. She was glowing when she came back home. Love you deeply and we pray constantly. We thank Chris and Pat for their prayers and encouragement. Tom and Anne. XXXXXX
ReplyDeleteGosh. Things do sound tough at the moment.
ReplyDeleteWe're away this week, but still hoping to see you on the Sunday or Monday for a spot of miniature railway fun?!
Thinking of you all.
Much love,
Jonathan Emma Lily and Mia xxxx
Keep going Pete, we're so so sorry that you are going through this. We pray for a better day today. Just one day at a time. Loads of love Hannah, Yann, S,T and M xxxxx
ReplyDeleteI have finally managed to catch up with your blog Pete and it's so inspiring to read. It is really incredible what the surgeons can do and how a body can manage with those changes - we all wish you continued strength and a stretchy stomache..... I can identify with the 'seeing peoples stomache' thing. Don't know if you remember my knee problems but I'd find myself(and still do) staring at peoples knees - and envying the leisure at which they'd be strolling.... Hmmm not on quite on the same level as your situation though. We think of you and your lovely family often. Wish we were nearer. Hoping to pop by at the end of the month. xxx Georgie
ReplyDeleteKeep up the good work, Pete. Time is on your side!!
ReplyDeleteLove,
Morten (and Karin and Vilgot)
