I'm still full of sedative from the Endoscopy as i type this (as you can see, when i came round), so i'll keep it short.
My appointment at the Bristol Royal Infirmary (BRI) this afternoon confirmed that the tumor is Stage 2.
This means i will need both Chemo and Surgery to sort it out.
Today the RUH hospital in Bath contacted us with a provisional start date for Chemo: 13th May.
I feel disappointed, strangely relieved to finally know what's going on inside me, but mostly knackered.

Dan was diagnosed as stage 2a as well, which makes for a postive and curable prognosis for you! Yes, he did have a different cancer, but same prognosis. He had to have a bunch of tests and it took quite a long time to confirm. As he had a larger tumor above his aorta they were going to get a biopsy via endoscopy, but then realized they would have to get a biopsy via medianstynoscopy(sp?) which was more invasive. . . We are glad to hear that you only have to have 2 rounds of chemo as well! Dan had to have 4, but it was 4 different drugs and they all affect us differently.
ReplyDeleteAll that to say we understand the insanity and know that God is doing great things among you.
Oh yeah, and bonus, your hair should grow in thicker and curlier after treatment is over!
On the chance that I will come across as annoying and redundant, I hear that vinegar and fructose are good ways to starve cancer cells. . . i found it here, in case you haven't come across this. . . . which you probably have:)
